Who We Are
The Ministry of Education (MoE), Govt. of India, through its Innovation Cell (MIC), launched the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) program in collaboration with AICTE to systematically foster the culture of innovation and a start-up ecosystem across Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) in India.
V.S.B. College of Engineering Technical Campus proudly established its IIC in 2021 under this national initiative. Our IIC is a dedicated platform that encourages, inspires, and nurtures young minds to explore new ideas, transform them into prototypes, and build an entrepreneurial spirit — right from ideation to start-up.
MoE's Innovation Cell (MIC) has envisioned creating a network of IICs across selected HEIs across India to promote innovation through multitudinous modes — leading to a vibrant innovation promotion eco-system on campuses.
IIC @ VSBCETC is part of this prestigious national network, committed to creating a campus ecosystem where every student has the opportunity to innovate, build, and grow.

Our Direction
To create a vibrant innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem that nurtures creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students and faculty, thereby transforming them into successful innovators and entrepreneurs contributing to societal and national development.
What We Aim For
Provide a structured platform for students and faculty to scout, prototype, and develop innovative ideas from concept to working models.
Enhance cognitive abilities — design thinking, critical thinking, problem-solving, and technology skills — among students through workshops and bootcamps.
Facilitate access to incubation centers, pre-incubation ecosystems, and funding resources for promising start-up ventures from students and alumni.
Build an entrepreneurial mindset by connecting students with founders, investors, and industry leaders for mentorship and live exposure.
Integrate innovation-led learning practices and IPR awareness into the academic fabric of the institution.
Identify, celebrate, and share success stories of student and faculty innovators to inspire the wider campus community.
Prepare the institution for Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) by maintaining high standards across all innovation metrics.
Provide students and faculty exclusive access to Innovation-related initiatives and competitions organized from institution level to international level.

Conduct innovation, startup, and entrepreneurship-related activities as per MIC guidelines in a time-bound fashion.

Faculty Leadership
The Innovation Ambassador (IA) Program is a specialized training initiative for faculty members of the IIC to equip them as mentors, resource persons, and champions of innovation across the institution and beyond.
Trained faculty serve as mentors within the IIC and as resource persons to other IICs across the region.
Innovation Ambassadors spread the message of innovation and start-up culture among students and fellow faculty.
Ambassadors conduct dedicated sessions, workshops, and bootcamps aligned with MoE's innovation framework.
Bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world entrepreneurial practice.
Faculty members who complete the IA training program are recognized as certified mentors, gaining exclusive access to national networks, workshops, and opportunities to shape the next generation of innovators at VSBCETC and across India.
Innovation Repository
YUKTI (National Innovation Repository – NIR) is an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, implemented by MoE's Innovation Cell and AICTE, to build a comprehensive repository of ideas, innovations, and start-ups developed in academic institutions.
